Did this technique a few years ago, to share with all;

Made up full page Flier copied at Kinkos in mass production. Found a source at a Office Supply store for some rectangle Zip-Lock bags, say 2" X 12". Got some neighborhood kids to roll them up, stuffing the 2" opening with flier, and putting a couple pebbles in before zipping it up.
Then the fun began, going out at night, making a midnight run, canvasing a particular neighborhood, driving on the wrong side of the street, tossing them up on the driveway. This way they had to be picked up, and most of the time opened and read out of curiosity if nothing else. Only encountered one person out on his driveway, objecting to the piece, and told him "Don't read it, just toss it away". Didn't stick around to see the look on his face. Haven't done this in quite a while, but still keeping this as a last resort. Each piece cost about a nickle, bag and all. Lots cheaper than hiring someone doing door-hangers for me, and made me feel lots younger, as a paperboy on a paper route.

I have done some doorhangers, but nothing is going to help you more than stewarding those real leads you get...I personally believe it you spend some time with customers and build a relationship, they will want to help you after you do a good job. I got some door hangers, but most of them are still hanging in my garage cause I have not seen many calls after I do them.
