Its initial cost is much higher compared with other premium paints Your absolutely correct hamilton. Average price is $50 per gallon, and guaranteed against cracking, peeling, and blistering. Although no paint is warrantied for life against fade. Typically darker colors will have a tendency to fade 5-7% per year depending on weather conditions, Sun, extreme heat and cold. Duration is one of my favorite exterior paints. Painting Contractor Eco Paint providing a full-service house painting company, utilizing the very best house painters Denver and Colorado has to offer. Latex have increased in recent years. Only last as long if not more, than the oil painting and is known to preserve the color better. Lattice are environmentally friendly, easier to clean, and are less likely to peel, because the paints are great osmosis-like characteristics that moisture to escape.

Oil or Alkyd paint is really a thing of the past. Oxidizes far more quickly, thereby breaking down the color and adhesion properties. Some say well how about Metal. Well, a DTM (Direct to Metal) latex paint out performs even on metal surfaces. One area still being specked out on commercial applications and engineers is interior piping that must be painted. Engineers still requiring Alkyds as they tend to have a higher solid content. RE: Best Exterior Paint
Exterior painting is performing most important role to home maintenance and its stops damage from the weather and water. There a two basic types of exterior paint - latex and Alkyd enamel paint. I like Alkyd enamel paint. This paint is looking great and this paint you can also clean up with soap and water.

RE: Best Exterior Paint
Exterior painting is the most important part to make your home secure from the damages caused by weather. It is very important to choose properly your paint so that it lasts for years. It is better to paint your after every three years. I would recommend to use Apex Ultima. The brand is very good and is popular for their paint.

RE: Best Exterior Paint
Exterior Latex for simple hardyboard / horizontal lap board siding, I'd go with Ben by Benjamin Moore (used a lot of it this year) or Regal Select Exterior (competitor to Duration). Super Paint used to be my go to paint, but It has serious fading issues with the darker colors. We paint a lot of dark color schemes around here...
New to be painted cedar, I prime with a waterborne stain called WoodScapes from Sherwin Williams then topcoat with your favorite latex paint. Wood needs to breath, and if you use an oil primer followed by a latex paint, It will crack and peel sooner than the process in my latter comment. Most moderately priced exterior paints do the trick, as even life-time warranty paints have no warranty for fade. Most paints here in CO fade 7% per year, depending on darkness. SW, BM, Valspar, Glidden all do not warranty any for fade. Did not know this, a customer called us back using Duration 8 years later. He went back to SW to get a gallon of SP same color #, and would not match. He thought we used wrong paint or color, which my SW paint rep. showed it was fade, not covered for warranty, learning no paint co warrants. lol Painting Contractor Eco Paint providing a full-service house painting company, utilizing the very best house painters Denver and Colorado has to offer. Fade is the first thing to show with aged paint, and this year, more and more homes showing fade. At some point, painting will be the thing to be in, like roofers chasing hail storms.
