What is your favorite roller sleeve?
So far, my "go to" roller sleeve is the 9" Wooster 3/4 Super Fab
If I want to go for a bit more quality, I like to go with Wooster Wool I like the Purdy Pro-Extra Colossus a lot, but they can't seem to seal the ends well enough to keep them from falling apart. For me, it's how the material on the sleeve opens up and takes on the paint. I call it "fluffing out". The Wooster fluffs awesomely. With the right pressure and amount of paint (not too much) this sleeve is amazing. I'm considering the 18" frame and may be trying that on the next interior. What sleeves do you like and what is your experience? Wooster Lambs are indeed an investment, with proper care, get maximum usage. We used to run 18" rollers, now going in between with 14", Wooster has come out in last couple years it's version of Liebco's, which is FAR much lighter, durable and improved, having cleat on end, keeping skin on frame throughout the entire rolling procedure. Believe Liebco is owned by Purdie, see Wooster's 14" frame becoming the most popular, from a weight and durability standpoint for residential applications. Commercial one's with huge areas to cover, 18" rollers is still our choice. RE: What is your favorite roller sleeve?
At a $1.99 per sleeve I go with the 3/4" microfiber as sold by http://www.coast-coastdirect.com Great coverage, They have a money back guarantee. This is an import from China, but the quality is great.
The Paint Shield System reduces maintenance painting costs by 50-60%, check out testimonial by US's largest Property management co. They have over 800 painters on staff, and made these tools mandatory. http://www.coast-coastdirect.com For pro-painters this could add 50% to your bottom line.Check out my introductory message on youtube with a full detailed explanation of the product, showing painting a 121 x 12 bedroom 2 coats in less than 40 minutes. |

RE: What is your favorite roller sleeve?
From my own research, Microfiber is a bit different than lambs wool in that it holds more paint and allows more coverage. It also eliminates a lot of splatter and dripping. I'd like to get my hands on some microfiber sleeves and see how they really pan out. I love lambs wool, awesome stuff! ArrowWorthy brand has microfiber mini roller sleeves that I'm trying to locate atm...
