This isn't the first time I have seen these kinds of "deals"....

Amazon Local / Portland * Paint one room for $99

Note: This ad is timed for three days. After the third day, the link will display a new ad for another deal most likely having nothing to do with painting.

The only way to make any money on these kind of deals is to sell them on EXTRA's and that would include other rooms. Otherwise it's a failure... Why gamble?

Another down fall. Amazon gets 50% of that $99.... So your painting a room for $49.50? A standard room of that size takes 3-4 hrs.

Crazy deal, I'm sure person is hoping for more than 1 room. Have the same going on here in Denver, but at least contractor is saying something like "1 room Free, with $500.00 minimum." Consumers really need to be wary, with all the painters coming out of the woodwork, being laid off from IBM, being replaced from a person in Pakistan.
