Re-coating lacquered trim
I have been offered a job re-coating some old baseboard and trim that was previously lacquered. I guess it just needs sanding in a few spots and then a fresh coat of lacquer. I've never worked with lacquer before and I try to stay away from the really toxic products, so I told him that I'd look around for an eco-friendly lacquer-compatible product. I found the AFM Acrylaq, but am not sure if it will adhere well to a traditional lacquer. Any thoughts, or general tips on working with lacquer or refinishing previously-lacquered wood? I'm heading over today to look at the job. Thanks!

RE: Re-coating lacquered trim
I pointed out a free standing piece of furniture with upper and lower doors opened. The upper showed the normal look of a stained door. The lower looked more even like you see if the stain was sprayed on. It was uniformly darker. I hope it will be helpful for you. All the best!
